****Major cons****

Our shipment arrived yesterday shortly after 9:00 a.m. I would like to let you know that the crew of two was the best crew we have had (and we have been dealing with shipments since last year). Not only were they quite pleasant, they were very effiecient, precise, knowledgeable and caring! And from past experience those attributes are hard to find. It made this move the most relaxing we have ever had!

- Careful with stuff

I would begrudgingly use this company again.

The crew was great and very careful -- until the end. A glass shelf was broken and another piece of glass was cracked. But that's not the upsetting part. What they don't tell you is that you will be charged from the time the crew leaves their warehouse until they get back. When your bill is higher than the quote, good luck getting a straight answer as to why!

- Bailey's did not figure out ahead of time that my condo would not fit a 80 foot truck. I provided the address weeks ahead of time and they had it on the day we loaded, which was two weeks before unloading. They should have arranged for a warehouse and shuttle truck. Again, this was sorted in the borrowed retail parking lot with the police hanging out nearby. This would have been simple to prevent and it should have been.

This was by far the worst moving experience I have ever had I'm sad to say . I moved from Colorado to south central Pa . and this was a debacle from the minute the packers showed up . One of the packers leaned a pack of heavy boxes against a cabinet where upon they slid down and tore a baseboard door off its hinge . Fortunately , the claims dept. was quick to send a furniture tech to repair the door since settlement was in a few days . This company sent only 2 packers to pack up a 2400 square foot home . They didn't finish until after 8 pm . Everyone was cranky by that time ( including me ) . I could tell when I unpacked my items how late in the day these were packed because of the haphazard way I found these items in the boxes . I had to store my household goods with this company for 5 weeks until settlement of a house I purchased . I called the coordinator a month before settlement of my new home and was sure to mention that a shuttle was necessary due to my narrow uphill driveway . When I got a call from the coordinator a few weeks later letting me know when delivery would occur , I again reminded her about the shuttle . She assured me it was noted . The day of delivery , I was up very early since the driver was going to show up at 7am . That time came and went as did 8am , 9am , 10am . No truck . I called the coordinator who then said she would contact the driver to find out what happened . He apparently had my shipment confused with someone else and delivery would now be 4 days later . So 4 days later as I'm up early again for a 7am delivery , what did I see showing up on my narrow winding country road , a huge transport van ! I walked down my driveway shaking my head and asking the crew what happened to the shuttle that was necessary to deliver my goods to my house . They did not get the message . This particular driver , nice as he is , does not have the best fluency of the English language which could be part of the problem . The crew then had to delicately back up the transport van and rent a U-haul to bring my goods to me , 3 round trips . This whole procedure took until after 11pm that night . But that's not the worst part ! A substantial number of items were missing , enough furniture pieces and boxes to fill a room !! Needless to say , by this time I am furious . Somebody dropped the ball big time with this move . I don't know who and I don't really care . On top of that , the top part of my antique hotel commode ( dresser ) was broken in several pieces . It took this company over a week to find my missing items and then another 3 weeks before delivery of the missing items . I got a call from a driver letting me know when the rest of my goods would be delivered in a few days . Something told me that this driver probably was not informed of a need for a shuttle either so I thought I would call him just in case he did not get the word . Well , guess what , he didn't ! I would of thought that the company would have expedited the delivery but no , it was at their convenience , not mine . As long as they had my money ( cashiers check only , before the crew even starts to unload ) of over $16,000 , they didn't seem to care . I was the one that always had to initiate phone calls to the company to find out what was going on even though I repeatedly asked the coordinator to keep me informed , if only to say that they haven't forgotten me , they are still working on my shipment . Didn't happen. I filed a claim regarding the broken furniture a few weeks ago , Haven't heard anything so who knows when it will be repaired . I feel that compensation is due me do to this incompetent move by so called professionals .

Pro's:

- Delivery occurred outside dates of service (after).

- Careful unloading

- Friendly pick-up and friendly driver and drop-off. Very courteous.

- Promised to tell us unload date on packing day, and we did not know until 24 hours before. (Just tell us ahead of time we'll only have 24 hours notice. This would have been a simple thing to communicate to me- one sentence.).

- More expensive

- Careful loading

- Thorough inventory

- We got everything (I think)

- Bailey's moving coordinator spent more time telling me not to worry than doing their job. She should have just told me where my shipment was, that I would have 24 hours notice and arranged for a warehouse/shuttle, rather than just saying, "don't worry, I understand you're stressed, but everything's under control."

I was tasked with moving offices and had no idea how much furniture it was til 4 days before the move. Luckily, Eric was very patient and followed up with me once I landed in town. He looked at everything we had and planned accordingly. However, once moving day was upon us and we realized we needed more man-power, he called in for backup and the process moved along that much quicker. After settling in to our new office, we realized that we needed them to come back and remove and dispose of a handful of furniture. The team of guys were prompt, polite and quick. I felt confident working with Eric and his team. I would definitely recommend them to anyone doing a corporate or personal move. Thank God we're done for awhile, but if things change I'd definitely reach out to them again.

- Did not keep storage and home separate. We loaded them separately with separate numbers/colors/area/ wall off in the truck and it was all mixed together when they arrived. I had arranged an extra stop weeks before the move and it was in the contract. I also noted when I signed the Bill of Lading that this was not clear and the pick-up guy said, "don't worry." Not keeping our items separate was a major headache for the Allied contractors. They had to rent a UHaul en route and sort the morning of unpacking. The main problem was they did not have a designated place to sort. We "borrowed" a parking lot of a retail store whose owners ended up calling the police. Bailey's was responsible for that and should have done better planning.
