Took my senior cat here as an emergency & thought their prices were relatively reasonable. $100 for an emergency exam isn't the worst I've ever paid. They outlined all of the options, very thoroughly, and let me decide what was best for my cat & my budget. The entire staff seemed very competent and caring. There was a bit of a wait to get medications but, other than that, I would highly recommend this place when your pet has an emergency!

MY PET HAS A BAD INFECTION AND ALL THEY KEEP DOING IS GIVING HER MORE MEDICATIONS THAT AREN'T EVEN WORKING FOR HER!! NOW I HAVE TO GO BACK NEXT MONTH AND PAY $500 AGAIN FOR WHAT!!!! THESE PEOPLE ARE JOKES I CAN'T BELIEVE THEM THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN!!! I WILL BE CONTACTING CORPORATE HERE SHORTY!! SAVE YOUR $$$ TAKE YOUR PRECIOUS FUR BABY ELSEWHERE! I recently brought my sick puppy in for emergency care. The whole staff was kind to both my pup and I. I was impressed with Dr. Rump who was very thorough and provided me with several options for my dogs situation. My puppy rapidly improved after receiving care and is now back to normal!
Our 5 month old puppy swallowed a small stuffed animal. After wasting a good amount of money at an ER and vet by our house, Bouton (the vet we love and trust) referred us to VRCC. I took our dog in Wednesday afternoon. We waited a bit to talk to someone but I expected to wait since it is an ER!!!! My dog was not showing any emergent issues and still acting happy and himself so I understood there were other cases that needed attention first. Anyways, the tech who checked us in was so amazing (I wish I remembered her name). She continued to update us on the wait and I felt the wait was pretty short considering we were in an ER. She was so sweet when she took my dog back for the exam. Dr. Ashton (also amazing) came out about 10 minutes later and let me know that she recommended an ultrasound to see where the stuffed animal was. I talked to her about it and decided we would like to do it. She had already put him in line for it which was much appreciated. She said it was a 1 1/2 to 2 hour wait so I left. She called in less than an hour with the results and discussed the surgery options in detail with us. We knew we were taking a gamble but decided to do the endoscopic surgery first. They were able to remove the stuffed animal but it turned out there was another one in there we didn't know about that they were unable to get out with the scope. That meant he would then need to proceed to abdominal surgery. They were so kind and caring in answering all of our questions and, unlike most other vets I have dealt with, genuinely understood that the cost is burdensome. They helped us adjust the quote and took out a few things which dropped it significantly. In the end, it ended up being $1,000 less than the lower quote they gave us. Even though we had to do 2 surgeries, we only ended up paying $700 more than we would had we just elected to do stomach surgery. I highly recommend going here for your emergency needs but understand it is an emergency room so, just like anywhere else, there is a wait. They are the most kind, caring, and compassionate people. I felt great about leaving my dog here and knew he was being well taken care of!!
I am so grateful for the kindness, care, and compassion VRCC gave our wonderful cat, Lupe. She was transferred here from our regular vet after having significant GI concerns that required intensive treatment. We were kept informed at all times about Lupe's care and what she needed, as well as encouraged to visit her. Unfortunately Lupe needed even more care with a blood transfusion so we did have to move her again to Wheatridge Animal Hospital, which VRCC helped us prepare for seamlessly. While Lupe was at VRCC I never had a worry about the care she was receiving and I could tell the staff were well informed, communicated clearly, and loved my little girl like I do. Thank you for everything.
