I like the layout with the separate buildings. I usually just come here to fill propane. Prices are good. The punch card helps too. On a pointless side note, those big green eggs are cool but are priced by an insane person. I need to meet someone with a big kiln and make one of my own
I always try to support local business and my experience today perfectly sums up the reason why! I was in a hurry. I needed paint. Bailey, did not point me in the direction of the paint dept. She walked me there and helped me choose a couple items. She was knowledgeable and friendly. Here is where the story gets good. I needed some other items, so I gave her a quick rundown of some other things I needed from the paint dept and asked her to meet me at the register. Voila! A few minutes later, she appears at the register with my items. I get home to discover that she anticipated what I would need, even if I was in too big of a hurry to think about it. My package included paint stirrers and an opener. These are only a big deal, if you don't have them! Thank you to Bailey for her terrific customer service and for saving me a trip back the the store!
This is - in my opinion - the last "real" hardware store in South Denver. If I am up a creek on a project and convinced I can only find what I need online, I'll check here first. I'm 9 out of 10 with these guys in those situations (and who has a turbo encabulator in stock on a Sunday anyway? [
Poor customer service. Called to see if they sharpen mower blades & asked if they had already been picked up for service on that day. She didn't know she said, I asked for the person who did know and it occurred to her to ask her associates. Don't believe a customer should have to ask half a dozen questions to get basic service answers.
Everyone complains about the service at big box stores.... You WILL get service at A&A! Very knowledgeable very helpful. All kinds of odds and ends.
